Tips
Keep a running grocery list, to-do list or other action list. Place the list in a visible place like the refrigerator or on the front of your daily planner. Doing so allows you add to it as you remember what needs to be bought & done.
Have a great day.

I entered a "new" office space that was filled with years worth of "stuff". Lori Bruhns met with me to assess my needs & was on the job within the same week. She worked methodically sorting, purging, and ultimately removing the outdated items that needed to go away. We all wish that we could just blink our eyes or wave a magic wand...well the service of Everyday Tidy is next best thing.

The Triangle Mothers of Twins and Triplets (TMOTT) was delighted to welcome Lori to our monthly meeting. As busy moms of twins, triplets, and higher order multiples we all lead especially hectic lives. Trying to keep our homes and daily living organized can be an overwhelming challenge at times. Lori was able to join our meeting and provide easy-to-use solutions and innovative answers to many of our toughest problems.
She did not limit herself to rooms of the home but also gave practical tips for managing life in the car for moms on the go. We were all impressed by her knowledge and professionalism but really appreciated her friendliness and ability to relate to our lives. It was a sincere pleasure working with Lori!

 Durham storage closet
I had the pleasure of working with Lori on a few projects throughout my home. She had great ideas and a ton of energy. During our first conversation she advised me that there are simple solutions to organize the mess I had created. Many times these solutions are around the house or are very inexpensive to purchase. We started with my laundry room, a catch all for every room in the house, and finished quickly enough to blow through another trouble spot, underneath the kitchen sink. When I became distracted, Lori helped to refocus my attention to the task at hand. Furthermore, she gave me the self-confidence to let go of things I had not touched in over 4 years. It's delightful it is to know exactly what is underneath my sink instead of cautiously opening the cabinet door expecting an avalanche of cleaning supplies.
Though seemingly small jobs for her, they inspired me to start contemplating other areas where I wanted more order. As we worked on the laundry room we brainstormed on other jobs. She has loads of ideas and is so willing to share her extensive knowledge and creativity. Moreover, I now have the inspiration to tackle larger projects and look forward to Lori's coaching and assistance in the future.

 New York apartment
During a visit up north, Lori came to the city to help me organize my apartment. New York City apartments are not nearly as big as they appear in the movies! They are tiny and the closets are even tinier - utilizing every square inch of space is a must!!
My tiny 300 square foot studio apartment can easily fit into most people's living rooms. Lori found creative, inexpensive ways to maximize my space while still maintaining the distinct partitions of my apartment. She even decluttered my closet and dresser so much that I gained enough space to expand my wardrobe in the very near future!! Time to go shopping!

 Hillsborough closet
Lori is AMAZING!! She helped me organize my closets using unique storage solutions that created more space than I knew I had!
It has been such a time saver too - no more wasting time searching through my closet for the toys lost in the abyss.

Lori is nothing short of a miracle worker. Our 7th grade son was so disorganized that it negatively impacted his grades and attitude. He was not handing in his homework because either he could not find it or he did not know it was due. His backpack was an explosion of papers. Every day was a severe test of our patience as our son tried to find homework he thought he might need to work on. We were at our wit's end.
Enter Lori.
Firstly, she is fantastic with kids; her positive, can-do attitude is infectious. Secondly, she not only explained to our son that being organized would make his life easier, but she got him to believe it and believe he could achieve it. She worked with him to develop a system he could use to organize his schoolwork at school, at home, and in between. He improved his organization very quickly and after 4 months, he no longer needs us to micromanage his schoolwork. This has greatly lowered everybody’s general evening stress levels. He knows what is due and when it is due. He is even more focused and uses his homework time more efficiently. As an added bonus, she helped us become more organized as a family, especially with our scheduling of activities. We highly recommend Lori for any family with a disorganized child. More time, less stress, happier child, more confident child, better grades, happier parents.

Lori Bruhns has worked with me, at Through This Lens, to help me create a more efficient working environment though organizing & arranging the many items & files we have in our small space. Lori was very focused & business-like in her approach, wasting no time in getting to the task at hand. At the same time she was cordial & easy to work with.
